I hope you all get a letter in the mail from the INDEPENDENT FORECLOSURE REVIEW board and filed the complaints you should. I got mine and already mailed it back. The lenders will have to settle with everyone they did wrong.

Getting a Wachovia loan modification can be confusing and very frustrating-trying to figure out how to navigate the application and approval process is something that most homeowners are not experienced with. It is easy to say that it's too hard and give up-but really all you need to do is spend just a little time preparing and learning exactly what Wachovia needs to see on your application paperwork. The time is worth it because it could be the difference between losing your home or saving it. Most people spend more time with really less important things, when knowing the basics of how to apply for a loan mod could save them tens of thousands of dollars. Make sure you really know what Wachovia is looking for on your application and then show them that you are a perfect candidate with the perfect application paperwork.

We tried a loan mod.on our home (that is now a rental, have been renting it to a good tenant for 14 months now). Went thru all the hoops & loops, repeat form letters asking for the same things we'd already submitted. Called today & learned that reason they went silent is they closed the app. due to expiration, claiming we didn't submit all requested. They wanted a
P & L on a small income I receive from a co. in which I am less than 1/2% owner and I do not receive and cannot receive P & L's, only annual K-1's. What a waste of time & energy. We have never been late on a payment since we got this sucky loan 6 years ago. We're gonna give the property back to them; heck with our credit (deed in lieu of title) and be done with this nightmare. I know of two other families who lost their homes to this program after being enticed by Wachovia with a loan mod that never came thru. I hate them. And hope they lose big on this home for karmic reasons.

they will not modify an investment property. you got to say you live there.i have a second on my second investment property. i owed 24559.01 and they agreed right around 16% on the original amount. so i paid roughly around 3900 to keep my home. You can settle with a second. if you have investment property you always have to become late on your payment at least two months before they will work with you. I will be living in on my property this time when I call them back to modify with wachovia. Yes it is not fair because we all had world savings and they always modified the loan with a small fee for me every two or three years with a small fee. its not fair what happened to us with this because I know we had to put 30% down to get the pick-a pay loan and now we cant use it to our advantage anymore.

I am beside myself because I was to hear something on a loan modification for the loan I currently have with Wachovia Bank. It is a pick a pay mortgage and the amount with principal and interest is way more than I can afford. My paychecks go toward the mortgage and I have to let other things go in order to make the payment. I have never seen interest paid on my loan and have paid all this money in taxes only. My home cost about $800,000. and we put 20 percent down. We have a second with Wachovia Bank and it is also on an adjustable rate. I live paycheck to paycheck and am running out of steam and money. I cannot sleep and am so afraid the bank is going to reject my modification. I am ready to lose my mind because I don't have anywhere to go -- my husband doesn't have a job and my kids are aware what is going on and don't ask for anything. Can someone tell me what you have to make in order to meet the requirements for a loan modification? I do not know if I can qualify because I can barely buy groceries after paying the mortgage every two weeks.

Please let me know if anyone has lost their house or if Wachovia Bank will actually work with you. They are ignoring me and have not given me any numbers or figures. I have also read where Wachovia Bank gives a 3 month modification and then they forclose after the 3 months.

I need help. I am going to contact a lawyer and see what they advise. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has recently received a home modification.

Please advise me if you filed a law suit. I cannot go on this way.

I have been trying to get 2 non owner occupied properties with 4 option payments and 7.4% interest modified for the past 6 months. Last year they said I made too much money, now I got laid off and I don't make enough money so seems no matter what I do they aren't interested in helping. I was also told to let the payments go 60 days in arrears and they will be more willing to help but after reading these messages I don't think that will work either. Any good attorney's out there?

I agreed with David, we all should gather together and file a massive class action lawsuit against Wachovia. We started fighting with Wachovia since March 2008. A fraud was committed against us, fake documentation was given to us to sign, we were promised a 4.50 fixed rate for 30 years. When we got our loan copies, saw that we had a 7.8 % negative Loan. We immediately call Wachovia, they didn’t do anything, so we hire an attorney, with no success, and we tried several times to get a mod. loan after so many docs. Sent via fax and by mail, we were told we didn’t qualify. Our perfect credit had gone down the drain, because like you all, we also stop making payments to be heard. Now we are starting the mod procedure through Wells Fargo, we are hoping that they will come up with something good this time.

Well finally some success! After contacting the office of Congressman Darrell Issa our modification with Wachovia has finally been approved. His office turned over all the information to the Comptroller of the Currency and they contacted the Office of the President at Wachovia. We actually got a call from the Office of the President, and after providing a couple of extra documents our Modification was approved. I have nothing but praise for my Congressman and his willingness to forward this on to the Comptroller. I would say you need to go up the ladder and not waste your time with "modification department". We never spoke to the same person twice, and everytime they would tell us something different. Most likely the least truthful bunch of people I have ever dealt with!

According to the site administrator: "Wachovia has been one of the most aggressive lenders to offer principal reductions on their loan modifications". I agree that Wachovia will sweetly reassure you that everything is going smoothly on your loan modification then SMACK you down with a foreclosure notice! They START the modification process so they can boast to the press about how many modifications they have in the works, but they have the lowest amount of approvals of ALL lenders. We have spoken to dozens of people, told and retold our story each time only to be told "Your modification is closed because you never sent in the paperwork". We have proof of the date, time, & person who signed for the delivery of our documents. When we give them that information, it is on to some other bogus excuse. We asked to speak to a supervisor and we were told "supervisors don't have phones". How can so many liers work in one place??? How do these people sleep at night is my question? When I think of Wachovia Mortgage I think, just like ENRON! These people hang up after lying to us and laugh about it with there cubical partners. I now have my congressman involved, and also contacted the White House. I have heard back from my congressman, silence from the White House.
